Are You Indispensable?

PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur is pleased to announce the winner of its first-ever "Are You Indispensable?" Cocktail Competitions.

The grand prize winner is Ryan Gannon, of Cure in New Orleans. His winning cocktail, Law Abiding Citizen, combined PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur, sherry and lemon juice. Judged by renowned spirits and cocktail authorities, the competition celebrated PAMA as the indispensable modifier that integrates and elevates base spirits and cocktail ingredients.

Ryan Gannon was one of six finalists selected from 242 submissions from bartenders in 30 states. The other finalists included:

  • Theo Lieberman, Milk and Honey, New York – 2nd place
  • Julia Momose, The Aviary, Chicago – 3rd place
  • Brian Means, Fifth Floor Restaurant & Lounge, San Francisco
  • Christopher James, Ryland Inn, Whitehouse Station, N.J.
  • Frank Caiafa, Peacock Alley Restaurant at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, New York

"We salute our competition's winners and their ingenious cocktails that demonstrate how PAMA is an indispensable ingredient in the mixologist's arsenal," says Lynn House, PAMA National Brand Ambassador, Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc. "It was truly inspiring to see bartenders from across the country bring their 'A' game and prepare a new generation of thoughtful and creative PAMA cocktails."
